The Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our core team as our first engineering hire. You will play a pivotal role in building our Cloud API infrastructure delivering our biomarkers to clinicians as well as pharma and academic partners. Your work will directly impact patients by enabling seamless integration of our Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) with healthcare systems.

You will collaborate closely with machine learning scientists, data scientists, and clinicians to translate cutting-edge AI research into robust, scalable, and compliant software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain a Cloud API infrastructure to deploy AI-powered biomarkers.
• Build and optimize our Software as a Medical Device, including integration with electronic health records (EHR) and medical imaging storage systems (PACS).
• Implement and enforce Quality Management Systems (QMS) ensuring compliance with relevant standards (e.g. ISO 13485).
• Ensure regulatory compliance with lifecycle (e.g. IEC 62304) and risk management (e.g. ISO 14971) standards for SaMD.
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards including SOC 2, as well as general and cloud-specific information security management systems (e.g. ISO 27001, 27017).
• Ensure data privacy and protection compliance, including HIPAA and GDPR.
• Collaborate with ML scientists to deploy AI models and imaging data pipelines in a production environment.
